Shaia Oriental Rugs not only sells rugs but repairs them. When our house burned down some of the bricks falling from the top of the second story cut holes in the rug as they crashed down into the foyer and the flames left scorch marks. We were told our rug wasn’t salvageable. We were sentimental about it so we didn’t toss it. We cleaned it up as best we could and put it by the back door. I visited Shaia on a whim. I mentioned that I had a damaged rug and they told me they could probably repair it. I had already been told by a rug repair business in D.C. that it wasn’t worth the expense to try to fix it. I sent Shaia some pictures and they said they could do it and gave me a quote that I couldn’t pass up. And they did a great job! I couldn’t see where the original holes had been.
You can see in the before and after pictures that my sad, damaged rug has a new lease on life. Not only did Shaia repair the holes, they stabilized the ends of the rug where time and carelessness with vacuum cleaners had shredded them.

I have many Oriental rugs in my home, and Shaia cleans many of my rugs on a yearly basis. My experience always begins with calling Bryan to set up the delivery, then I meet with the young men who come to pick up the rugs. These young men are always mannerly and diligent in moving my furniture and rolling up the rugs. Once the rugs are cleaned, they are returned (usually by the same men), and they again move the furniture and lay the rugs. The entire process is painless and professional from beginning to end.
